Project Homeless is an organization that serves the greater
Indianapolis area, providing food and clothing people living on
the streets. Our mission is to bring hope to the hopeless, and
to bless others with what God has blessed us. We rely on
donations and corporate sponsorships to fund our outreach.
Once a week, we feed the homeless a hot meal. We provide
them with the basic needs of living, such as toiletries, blankets,
clothing, and undergarments. We also help the homeless with
transportation needs, and, when they are ready to get off the
street, with new living arrangements.
Project Homeless was started in 2006 by Ed Calton, who knows a lot about the needs of people living
on the streets because he was once homeless himself. Ed started this outreach after undergoing brain
surgery and pledging to help others in thanksgiving for the gifts God has given to him. Ed continues to
work tirelessly to feed the homeless and assist others who need encouragement and a helping hand.
